I have upgraded to JB. Now I notice that my email will be partial shown in the notification bar. Is there a way to get rid of that and make it like it used to be? Back to only subject and not like the first few sentences?
Any help would be great

That's one of the new features in JB...a preview of pretty much everything shows up there, even pics. No way to turn it off unless (guessing) you use a launcher, which I do not.

If you pin something to the top of the notification bar, like the battery meter in GSam battery or controls like Extended Controls it will not give you rich notifications, at least in my experience.

What do you mean pin something

You pin it to the top, you make sure that there's always a notification at the top of the Window shade when you pull it down. Here are two screen shots. For Power Toggles you can clearly see the option to pin, and with GSam you would select show notification icon.

If you download Lookout Antivirus, it will pin to the bar also.

I downloaded qpinner and pinned that. So far it seems to work but that extended controls sounds good.

There's a setting in Lookout that removes its icon from the notification bar

Settings / Sticky notification

Turn that off and the status bar will be a bit more uncluttered.

I actually have it pinned so I don't get the expanded notifications, I don't like them either...overkill if you ask me.

So qpinner stopped working after the update to it. I downloaded a new one called notification agenda which did the same thing as qpinner however now its doing the same thing qpinner did. It is being pushed below the notifications so im seeing the expanded ones again. Anyone have any idea how to fix this or another app that will help.

I'm now getting expanded notifications with 4.1.2.
