I just went into my friend's phone to make sure he wasn't optimizing it with doze.

Gmail wasn't syncing his calendar either.

No issues with my V20.... Although Gmail's notifications have been a bit slow to come through lately. Nothing crazy but slower than usual. Hopefully it will correct itself.

yeah, his was a bit slow. I'll ask him if the notifications are better. He uninstalled all the recent apps that he downloaded too, hopefully that'll fix it.

Yes. I've had calendar notification issues since the V10 and now it's with the V20. I downloaded an app to fix it. Same for text messages. I received texts, but nothing there, however, they are actual texts coming in. Ghostly confirmed that and now I use Textra as my messaging app. Those are the only main notification issues I have. I have changed the doze settings to make sure they were allowed and no difference. AT&T told me it was a known bug in the software. Obviously it is wide spread according to the downloads and comments for the 3rd party apps. It's annoying to say the least. Anyone else with these issues or suggestions?

I have sync issues only with my yahoo email account in my Gmail app. Every other email I received shows up in my notifications, but not yahoos...
