Notificiations not showing on lock screen

I just got my Note 3 from ATT on the 15th. I have noticed that I am not getting facebook, facebook messenger and some other notifications until i turn the screen back on and unlock it. I am completely stock. I have wifi always on. Anyone else have this problem? Do i have a defective device? Thinking about going back to HTC One if this is going to continue. ANy tips ???

Not an expert by any means, came from an Iphone to Note 3. I use LockerPro to see any and ALL the notifications I want on my lock screen. It helps me see what I feel is important when I want to use my phone. You can use any or all of your phones notifications. Simple and complete, at least for me.
