Hello.

After the 7.0 update my device goes to something like "mute" on its own. No notification sound, no ring tone sound when I receive a call, even some audio files can't be played. This can only be fixed with a restart but I have to restart my phone 5-6 times a day. It's pretty annoying.

Any help?

Factory reset doesn't fix it. I've tried everything from other forums (hard reset, test in safe mode etc...) and I still got this sound bug.

have the same problem...Earlier on s7 with nougat.
Now I have the same thing on s8.
I think it depends on some application? Are you able to send me pictures of your application? May we find a problem together?

I hate to say it but you might need to do a factory reset.

So we wait for an update??

IF Samsung is aware of the issue, there may be a fix coming in a future update.

You say that you've tested in safe mode, cleared the app and system caches, and you've done a factory data reset. I'm not sure that leaves anything but to reload the OS. Yes, that's actually reinstall the latest Android onto your device. The easiest way to do it is to use Samsung's Smart Switch on your PC. If you have a carrier device, they may have included a similar carrier-branded app.

Of course, you'll lose everything on your phone, so back up your photos, music, docs, and such. And when you set up your phone, resist the temptation to restore from a backup. If your issue WAS caused by an app or a system setting, you'll risk putting it right back onto the phone.
