Nougat Battery Drain

About 4% per hour now.

I read the whole thing u typed and i dont think there is a solution, i bought s6 one week ago tried all the things that everyone is telling to do, didnt fix. I can see the % going one by one in 10 minutes like 5-6% with chrome or any app like messenger etc. So I decided to downgrade the android to 5.1.1 with Odin, after its done downgrading and a little bit of use i'll give it an update

Please update every single of your daily usage bobineskoski. I once bought an S6 edge with Nougat and the battery drain was too serious. It drained outrageously about 20-25% during 7hours of sleeping time. I sold the phone as it kills my daily functionality in using a phone and bought a Note 5 with Marshmallow instead. The battery was way better with only 20% of heavy usage (mobile data LTE for 4 hours and 30 mins of screen time). And then, came the worst part where I anxiously updated to Nougat and guess what, the drain was identically as my previous S6 edge problem. Regretted updating to Nougat, so I am waiting for someone to update their daily usage after a downgrade whether to see if its a successful move or only giving slight changes.
Waiting for your updates later on.

Try turning off Cell Broadcast or Broadcast Channels under Messages> Settings> More Settings.

This helped me a lot to greatly increase battery life and remove heat issues on my phone whether I am using WiFi, internet etc etc. No more heat on my phone right now.

My phone is a Samsung J7+ running on Android 7.1.1 with latest Bandbase Version.

Please let me know if this helped.

Thanks!

This will be my last update. I still have the Galaxy S6 but also have a refurb iphone 7. The battery life on the iphone is great. The fingerprint unlock actually works, unlike the Samsung phone. But various things are less optimal, for one thing, Apple dumbs everything down. Many apps are missing features in the iPhone version. Also the "home" not-a-button doesn't seem to work (other than for fingerprint unlock). So I have the on-screen home button turned on.
