Nougat fixed my corrupt SD card!

The past 6 months, my SD card was useless, rendered "corrupt" according my phone's info. I was not happy. I had a 128gig card that would not hold crap!
I received the Verizon Nougat update several days ago and I just noticed that my SD card is now functioning correctly! This is a big deal for me and helps to offset some of the other minor inconveniences caused by the update. Has anyone else noticed the same "miracle"?
