Nova Launcher now in the Android Market

I dropped $4 for Nova Prime the second it hit the market. While I was quite impressed with what you can do with it, I eventually had to go back to stock. I will stick with stock until the programmers of Nova get some bugs worked out. I noticed a few small things, but the thing that made me decide that I would have to go back to stock is that when I opened the App Drawer, any new apps I downloaded and installed were listed at the very end, no matter what letter the apps began with. I am OCD as F&%K, so having my apps out of alphabetical order was driving me nuts!

Does this issue still persist?

My only gripe with Nova is that it doesn't have the same multi-tasking display as stock does... Am I wrong? I REALLY LIKED how stock gave you that vertical gradiant display while still allowing you to see the app that you had open also. Nova feels like you are going to a different page entirely... Kinda like bookmarks for the browser. Is there a way to get the stock look back?

I have the same multitasking panel as stock.

I actually went back to using Nova to test if I could find why it lagged at least for me. So far the app drawer has been fine using a non Nova Prime transition between pages (using stock ICS transition I think called card deck). I like the stock transition anyway. For the home screen I noticed that it lagged when I was using HD Widgets on the main screen for the clock and weather. Went back to using Simi and I haven't had an issue with severe lag yet. My main time I saw lag was when I was on a call, exited the phone app and then all the apps took a second to appear but the widget on top took forever to load. Leads me to believe it. Ought have been the widget. I will test it out today and report back.

Edit: After a phone call that lasted about 20 minutes I ended the call like normal and hit the home button and apps and widget (Simi Clock) on main home screen took about 3 seconds to display. This is a little bit better than when I had the same apps and HD Widgets on the home. That took about 3 seconds to load the apps then another 2-3 seconds to load the HD Widget.

Just so you know, that isn't an issue unique to Nova Launcher, it happens on every launcher I've ever tried, there's just some refresh type lag when exiting programs sometimes. Back when I was using ADW EX I saw a post, I think on XDA, about changing the priority the app has within Android, supposedly fixed the refresh issue, I didn't try it because I shortly after bought the GN and didn't use ADW anymore. It might work with Nova Launcher though, don't see why it wouldn't.

Really? Is there an option that I'm missing somewhere?

Attached are what the stock multitasking panel looks like and what my Nova's multitasking panel looks like.

FWIW, I'm running Deck's PB10 on my EVO4G and I had the normal stock one when I was using Evervolv...

When I finally do get ics I doubt seriously that I will abandon my Go Launcher EX for Nova. There are 17 different transitions on GL. For home screen and app drawer. Swipe gestures, widget resize, custom icon, rename icons and oh, everything is free. Ya, not happening.:)

I liked GO when I used it for a bit on the dinc but there was a post on xda about information being leaked, etc.
I don't remember the specifics, but they reviewed all launchers and purposely left out Go.
I haven't used it in a while because it was nice but on top of Sense it slowed my device down.
I own ADW EX for 10 cents :) but don't use that anymore.

Nova FC's a lot for me now (not prime) and doesn't restore my widgets like it used to. Click on one and the rest appeared. Not anymore for me :(

For those of you who are using Nova Launcher as a replacement to the stock ICS launcher, version 1.1.3 brings along some great new features as well as some bug fixes.

For those of you who made the switch from another 3rd party launcher like LPP, myself included, will enjoy the new addition of Unread Counts by TeslaUnread. A much welcomed feature that I personally have missed during my Launcher Pro Plus days. They've even stepped it up a notch and have included notifications for GTalk as well.

Here's What's New:
*Unread counts via TeslaUnread (Prime)
*New Gestures: Rotate Clockwise, Rotate CCW, and Double-tap (Prime)
*Support for selecting icon from Go Launcher icon packs
*Set default screen by dragging checkmark on preview screen
*Hide scroll indicator
*"Reverse" wallpaper scrolling mode
*Animation/Scroll speed preferences
*Show Recent Apps Nova Action
*Support for Cyanogenmod nightlies "Launcher" setting
*Misc fixes

That's fairly substantial for me. Thanks for letting us know!
