You have to use buttons for navigation for the taskbar you are referencing. If you use gestures for the navigation bar that option is not available.

Well then, I guess it's a good thing that I use buttons, lol.

I've added a screenshot and power button to my navigation bar, which you can see in my scteenshot, and I use One Hand Operation+ for gesture control.

I emailed Nova support to ask if they changed their mind yet on supporting the fold phones. They responded and in a nicer way said yes and no. .

Pretty much put the blame on Samsung, which probably is right, but I seem to remember Samsung saying they were going to open the folding phones up to developers so they will support the fold, but I could be thinking of something else.

I responded that for the most part Nova works on the fold, the biggest issue I've seen was the delay of icons displaying when opening the phone to inside screen. Maybe, hopefully they will at least address that.

I get being a developer for Android is a PITA, so many brands to deal with, another apple advantage, one OS, one hardware. The fold is now in 4th generation and isn't going anywhere and a flagship phone, I would think it deserves some attention at this point.

I believe the screen shot he posted is from his settings menu. My Home Screen in settings looks like the first screenshot. The screenshot from the Good Lock app should look like the second screen shot.

My screenshot came from within Home Up where using Good Lock. I was only confirming you vertical scrolling doesn't exist on the Fold4.

Yes they took that away when task bar came out. Apparently Samsung doesn't want us to have options, choices which is what built Android

Agreed, and why I use Nova, which for my use case and preferences is far superior to stock, though not always the case for others.

Do you think Nova will release a version with a task bar option like stock now has.

And agree Nova is a superior launcher. I know everybody don't need all those options but the choices are there and choices are always good

Not sure, though if they did, I wouldn't use it.

When I experiment with stock and the new task bar, there's no room for my customized 5 icon navigation bar, only the standard 3 icons.

Since I'd rather not have to stand on my head, holding my phone in one foot, while angled towards the sun at 13.67 degrees to take a screenshot, I won't give up the navigation row screenshot button that I have now with Good Lock > Navstar.

It's not there for the Flip 4 either, which is much closer to being a "normal" phone.

The app organization in folders drives me crazy which is why I am sticking with Nova.

I have , It's not as bad as talking to google, but it is almost as fruitless.

But at least I tried... and didn't just say "well, I've tried nothing, and I'm all out of ideas".

They might not take our feedback very seriously, but not providing it to them is the only way to guarantee that nothing will change.

True, but I bet they also see some of our posts. Most companies scour social media for their name and what's being said.

This is actually very true, I read some articles on it a ways back. They have bots and people looking for keywords, and the bigger the sites the more they look. That's one of the reasons I share my frustrations, because it does get noticed

Good Lock is an app you download from Samsung App Store. If I remember correctly, Good Lock, Home Up, Theme Park, Pentastik, etc are all separate apps you download from the Galaxy App Store. But again, I'm not certain it's available for download with the F4.

Unfortunately, doesn’t exist on the Fold4.

Home app updated so I can check this setting and I can confirm it's not available on Fold 4 but it is on Flip 4

I really wish they would add vertical scrolling in the basic settings in One UI. Seems like an easy thing to do.
