November Security Update (Also Saturation/Nav Bar Fade Update)

Could be that they aren't really being aggressive in pushing it as the 2nd release of the Beta is pushing out now (8.1 DP2).... One might think that they may release the 8.1 to all in the coming weeks... Then again, the Dec patch would normally push next week (12/4)...

I'm really interested to see if the December patch will hit my phone on the 5th since I'm already on the November patch. And if I'll have to put the Verizon sim in again to make it work. There's a reason for the delay just not sure what it is?
Maybe the beta build will correct what they want to before the regular patch is released!

Appears so....

Yeah, my mom's Pixel 2(verizon version) also isn't updated to 8.1 for some reason. She's had the phone for 2 weeks now

Oh man.. can't wait for the beta developer update

Well 8.1 isn't out yet so that's why.

I'm tempted to sign up for the Beta Build but this is my daily driver and it's pretty flawless except for a couple hiccups

I mean the update that gives non beta users the fading task bar, and those saturation options among a few other things google adressed that aren't in the beta version.

Didn't hit check for update.....was aiming to do so and this was there....
😂😂😂

Yay! Thanks to your post I rechecked and BAM, also have it. Sweet, Finally.

I have a Verizon Pixel 2 XL using a T-Mobile SIM and I still don't have the November security patch update. Do I need to install a Verizon SIM to get it??

You can test that theory it worked 4 me on a unactivated Verizon sim, Cricket customer here
I plan on doing this again December 5th for the December update if I don't see it

Well, I put in the Verizon SIM, manually checked for the update and it began downloading. I had a Verizon Pixel XL that I used with my T-Mobile SIM and had no problems receiving updates - never had to put in Verizon SIM. If I have to do this every month I'm returning this phone to Best Buy.

I think eventually it'll catch up to normal updates, just right now it's incorrect the way this works.
At least I hope so!
