Now In Stock At Bestbuy

It probably depends on the area. Per bestbuy.com I can go about an hour in two directions and get one locally. Smaller locations seem to be ship-to-store only.

Was near a local Best Buy tonight and decided to see if they had the essential... spoiler alert, they did not. But the associate looked it up in their internal system and said it looks like they will never carry it, nor will any stores in their district. I dunno who decides this, but this does not help Essential. They need to be in more stores with more exposure to hope to survive, imo. I think this is one of the reasons the HTC 10 did so poorly is no-one carried them in store. If Essential is relying mostly on people like on here, they won't make it.

I also went into best buy looking for the Nintendo switch. Guy said my entire area was out and there was no telling when any store would get one. Went into a different best buy, and they had 6 on the shelf. Don't always believe what they say. You can always go buy it from a Sprint store and use it on any network. It's the same exact phone. The only sprint app that was on it my sprint which I would have downloaded anyway. You can simply uninstall the app. The only apps you can't uninstall are the core apps which is awesome.

All the BB's in my area only have the ship to store for pickup option, but I'd like to see it so wish it was in store.

Sprint corporate stores have them on display, some will sell you the phone with out service.

Yeah, thanks. As of a week ago the Sprint store here had none. Was mainly interested in the amazing build quality and wanted to see it in action as well. Price is to steep for me tho. I'm more interested in the new pixels at this point. The issues being experienced with the Essential are turning me off. Next generation could be the sweet spot tho.

The new pixels are going to be more than this phone especially the xl. All those features that everyone deems necessary are now going to cost you a grand. Everyone can thank apple and Samsung for that. 700 bucks isn't flagship price anymore.

Sad but true. Thanks Apple. If it’s a pixel in my future it’d be the smaller one at $650. I’m not going to be an early adopter tho. Wait for some solid review time and maybe a Verizon or Best Buy deal around the holidays.

Anyways I happened to switch to sprint then they announced them as a launch partner for the essential. Honestly this phone is actually going to keep me with sprint. It's one if the only phones that uses their LTE plus network. That network is actually really good, I get the same speeds if not better than the other guys. My call quality is outstanding now. I never have failed text or calls.
