Now Playing sucks on 3xl, great on 2xl

Just to be clear, you're saying that you have to turn Developer options OFF in order to get Now Playing working?

Yes in my case that was the only way I got it working.

Give it time , keep it on

My advice leave that off causes more problems then its worth..if you need animation off just do it through accessibility settings.

I call BS on the Dev setting explanation. Dev settings is just access to an advanced menu....just having it enabled doesn't do anything. I've enabled (and left on) Dev settings on every Nexus/Android/Pixel I've owned.

If you dont experience any issues leave it on . My devices act weird with it on just like with my now playing.

I was checking something in developers option and forgot to turn off when I exited, I try not to leave it on because it creates problems out of nowhere. Hope that be your fix also.

No....I had a problem with my first 2XL.

Bright flash before black screen. Got it exchanged.

Now playing can be flakey at times but nothing I can attribute it too. Honestly, as a feature it's cute but it doesn't do much for me.
