1st iteration models are for Guinea pigs I will wait for version 2 or 3.

A bit disappointed by the price of the Pixel XL, the one with a screensize relevant to my interest... will stick to my Nexus 6 for the moment : fortunately, Nougat 7.0 was released a few days ago and I can enjoy it now :)
No Pixel Launcher tho :(

I ordered the Pixel 32GB black on launch day. I accept I am a sucker and google fanboy. I feel some shame but it'll go so nicely with my Chromebook Pixel. :)

I've been a staunch Nexus supporter the last several years, but I think I'm going to pass on this one, at least for now. I might try to pick up a used Pixel sometime down the road.

I started with a Galaxy Nexus, and have had every version since then. The 5X and 6P dropping wireless charging is probably the biggest downside to me. I also would like to use Miracast, which is not supported by Nexus.

I'd like to pick up a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge US unlocked version, or maybe the S8 equivalent if I decide to use my 6P until it's available.

I was going to go for it, but with the price structure the way it is, I'll stay with my S7 edge. If I'm going to spend that much money, I'll wait for the S8 which is supposed to blow the specs off the Pixel phones. I think Google is trying to be to much like apple. Not that having all your Android devices syncing together is a bad thing, but if they wanted to conquer, make the price attractive.

To be honest, I'd be quite surprised if the S8 had specs that would totally blow away what we have so far - given the current roadmaps for the hardware that's currently available, I don't think a new CPU in the first half of next year will make the Snapdragon 821 in the Pixel look pants. Happy to be proved wrong though!

Wait for the S9 then because it will blow the S8 out of the water... Heck, might as well wait for the S10 becasue that's going to demolish the S9......... :D

My thinking too, if I get one at all! The Nexus pricing was one of the good things about the Google-driven phone lineup in my eyes.

My 6P 64gb has been acting up a lil of late. I planned to hold out for a Pixel. Once I saw the prices, I picked a nearly new 128gb Nexus 6P off eBay. Saved over $400 over the over cost of the Pixel XL 128gb model.

The S8 is reported to come with the 830 chip, 6 gb ram, and 256gb internal storage, and now that samsung bought via, WOW.

I'm going to wait and see what T-Mobile charges for the V20, then make a decision. Kind of off-topic, but I'm curious about the pricing for the AT&T V20. Now that service contracts have gone away, I wonder if this is how AT&T is planning on making up the money they were bilking people out of who had completed their 2 year contract, not upgrading their phones, and still paying the subsidy rate plan price now that service contracts are going away. Make the phone more expensive.

I don't think it can compete. It has TouchWiz, an Android distro to me. The closest thing to Nexus and Pixels are Motorola's phones, and yet are not the same...(you need to wait a few months to receive an Android update, and you get less than 18 months of Android updates).

On the other hand, I also consider that the physical Home button is obsolete.

Pixel still is a 24 months device, so I think the price is huge for the EOL they are offering.

I'm thinking now of using my Nexus 6P until the S8 is available. I'm holding out for a US unlocked version though, so we'll see how long that takes, assuming it will come.

Since my wife has an S6 Edge I've actually become a fan of Samsung's Galaxy line. Probably the biggest draw for me is Samsung Pay.

I'm still using a Nexus 5 and in need of an update, but I'll wait a few more months before I decide.
