yes it does although you will have to use the stock android keyboard to utilize that feature for the samsung's keyboards dont have that option.

Just spoke with an AT&T national sales rep and he said the Captivate officially started going on sale nation wide yesterday... going on my lunch break to pick mine up! He thought the off contract price was $450 or $500

Same in Greensboro, NC. I just called my local store. Sales Rep had to ask another sales rep when the release date is. Sunday. And, no display model out yet.

Just talked to both AT&T stores in Columbia, Maryland and they say not until Sunday, and no display unit available until Sunday. Also, Best said they will carry it but don't know when they will get theirs.

I just picked mine up from a store in Tulsa. They had no problem selling me one earlly

After the Verizon Droid X launch day issue with supplies running out pretty quick even though they said there would be sufficient supply for the demand, I wonder what AT&T is saying about their inventory for Captivate Launch day. If they are smart they will manage the expectations better than Verizon did.

I was really hoping one of these ATT stores would sell me one early, but I had no luck.

Either way, I'll be there at 11 am tomorrow to play with one of the display phones for about 5-10 seconds (if they're even up yet) and to take one home.

I've already convinced myself through endless early reviews and photos - can't wait.

I had no luck in getting one but I plan on picking one up tomorrow morning myself. I did get to see a dummy phone of the captivate and actually was quite surprised by the feel of the phone that I cannot wait to actually get it. It seemed to feel more sturdy compared to my bold 9000 and even my old 8310, I am sorry to leave the bb platform but I am excited to play with Android and hopefully I can get a terminal on the phone just to have a unix/linux feel!
