NOW that we've got official Froyo, NOW we can complain...

Have to do further testing but it seems like some apps that I've closed will reopen themselves later, which if so, it annoying. Especially if they sent out notifications that I've seen elsewhere (ex. Seesmic, when I've already seen the mention on my desktop and just want twitter closed on my phone).

The Market update all couldn't seem to handle the 37 apps that I needed to update, so I had to force quit a bunch and then cancel some downloads that got stuck and do them individually.

Android has always preloaded apps into memory. It's part of what it does to make your phone run faster. If you don't want notifications from an app, disable them in that app. Just because an app is loaded into memory doesn't mean it's using the cpu or battery.

The market usually works pretty well with updating a bunch of apps at once.

Since upgrading to FRF91, I've had to pull the battery almost a dozen times, that includes the 4 times I had to do it yesterday and the one this morning. I upgraded when it was released online. Apps are freezing. I did a factory reset today and had to do a pull shortly after.

You probably have a bad app installed.

I've been pretty happy so far with froyo. The only thing minor thing I noticed that is missing is that now I can't turn off the vibrate option using my volume rocker anymore.

For instance I used to be able to adjust the ringer volume from loud, to low, to vibrate, to silent with vibrate off, just by holding down on my volume button. For some reason I really liked that feature.

Yeah it's odd that they removed it. There are now different options under Settings -> Sound -> Vibrate instead.

FRF91 has lowered the volume on the car dock headphone by about 25%.

I feel the speaker is a bit quieter myself.

got my froyo, it's delicious and creamy. quite happy, everything's just that little bit quicker and smoother.

the gallery seems slower, and it appears that there's no longer any colour banding in images, which may mean it's slower because it's giving higher quality previews.

i'm also having that stupid thing where my avatar doesn't show in sms app. apparently thats because you need to have the number on your sim, but you gotta do it in a diff phone. gonna pop the sim in girlfriend's old lg viewty and see if i can do it.

Well the Gallery is more intensive too. When looking at a folder, you can pinch and zoom on it to get a quick Peek at your the pictures in the folder without opening it up. Pretty cool!

Gingerbread's UI revamp is rumored to be based on the Gallery app.

I've complaints to developer of apps. Why don't they give app2SD support after it's officially available to froyo?
