Nuisance strange error message every 20 seconds

All of a sudden I'm getting an error message at the bottom of my screen that says:

ERROR: No Value for SerialNumber

No idea where it's coming from. I have been uninstalling apps trying to find the culprit. So far no success. Many restarts but still about every 20 seconds this message pops up at the bottom of my screen.

Welcome any ideas for figuring out how to find and stop the offending app or service.

I'm leaning towards INSTEON as it made me sign in again. Haven't seen the message since.

Looks like you may have found the guilty party. Logged into the INSTEON app and I also have not seen the message since.

I do remember this app being updated within the last week or so.

Looks like your right which would explain why the problem isn't more widespread, lets face it how many people have insteon installed? I'll give it a couple days to confirm that it's the problem.

INSTEON is a home automation technology that implements a proprietary protocol that can be used to programmatically control light switches, thermostats, motion sensors and other devices. The reference to INSTEON in this post was for an Android application that can be used to interface with an INSTEON controller to remotely control attached devices over an IP network connection.
