If I purchase the Epic on launch day would I be able to put the phone number that is on my Evo onto the epic same day? and have the number on my evo put onto the epic? Or is there a delay period for this??

I'm pretty sure you can do it right away. They didn't let me port from my iPhone 3g s, but since you are dealing Sprint-Sprint, it shouldn't be a problem, especially in one day. In the past, we've been able to port numbers to another Sprint phone super quickly.
Thanks for the answer..much appreciated.. I know Sprint told me just now it would void the rebate, but if I get it from BB then I guess it shouldn't matter...

What?
Wtf? I'm on T-Mobile now and I don't expect to have to forfeit a $100 rebate just to port my number. That's r-tarded, I hope there was a miscommunication there...
No this is different than porting your number from another carrier to Sprint. I was referring to swapping numbers with another phone already on my Sprint account. You will certainly be able to KEEP your rebate, sorry if there was any confusion...![]()
NO
You must wait 24 hours before you can swap numbers. Buy the phone from best buy to avoid getting screwed on the rebate.
I went through the exact same thing.
