GOt the update....wish I didn't. Really not liking Lollipop so far, seems a little half-baked as yet. I'll have to dig up a KitKat tablet now.
Hasn't locked up in about 36 hours. Any time you update OS, expect some lagging. Were your lag/freeze-up issues ever resolved? I am experiencing the same random laggyness and freeze ups, and I think it's related to Chrome, but I can't be sure. A reboot always fixes it temporarily. BTW, is your tablet rooted? I don't know why that would be an issue, but I used Towelroot initially, though I didn't reroot it after I took the Lollipop update.
Screen casting should be working now.Enjoying the updates. Getting used to the notification shade changes, but do like the on-screen notifications instead of them being confined to the status bar. Also lock screen notifications are going to be really nice.
Don't yet know what to make of the whole interruptions concept with prioritization of apps. Guess it could be nice but not sure I need it on the Shield. Maybe on my phone in combo with Tasker or something.
Two things that aren't working for me. First is screen casting. Says no devices are available when I tap it, even though I was just playing a movie over Chromecast minutes before. Do I have to take some extra steps to configure Chromecast for this since this is not a Nexus device? Had only mirrored screens on a Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 previously.
Second, and maybe this was an issue with KitKat and Jelly Bean too, but the storage stats in the settings are wonky. Internal storage indicates that 5.5 GB are free, which should be right. But under this same heading it shows that apps and associated media are taking up over 12 GB, which is true, except that half of that is on the SD card. Consequently, the Internal Storage graphic shows that all internal storage is full of app data, when that's not accurate.
Am I making any sense? Has anyone else experienced this in Android 4.x or 5.0? (I've not had a device on 4.x or 5.0 with external storage (SD card slot) until now.)
