*Obligatory 'I ordered my Pixel 4' thread!

If Google had made the black model matte, boy, it'd be a different playing field between the colors. I would have seriously considered it. I hope someone does a 3D mock up or something.

In regards to the Orange model, I can't wait to see what "Limited Edition" actually means. Will it just disappear from the order page or will it just be one of those constantly "sold out" type things? I also hope we get to the bottom of exactly why Google decided this color -- arguably the best and most recognizable Pixel color, which could have helped branding -- should be in limited availability or supply. Is it a manufacturing issue -- is it just not possible to keep churning out this color? Or is it to create hype and demand? Hope we find out because it's rough grappling around Google's decision making here.

Probably just hype and demand during launch. Thru out the year pixels are not a high volume selling devices in comparison to Apple and Samsung phones and they would probably keep the number of SKUs limited.

Had absolutely no intention of buying one now (but yes, later). I didn't even watch or read much about it today. Figured I'd catch up on it later.

Then the Amazon deal came out this evening. $100 gift card plus I assume I will get 5% back on my Prime Visa. I think that's a pretty good deal based on my Pixel 3 experience.

I did a crash course in Pixel 4 to make sure I understood everything. I decided to bump up to the XL. 64GB. Orange. Hopefully, it's not too big.

Looking back, it's all a Google-blur.

On with T-Mobile and they can't submit order for one yet. 22 minutes after!!!

Not finding it on Amazon

LOL...T-Mobile only offering the 64gb model. Oh, well...that made keeping my S10 a no brainer.

If you have not already, join up to Google one before order. ( I'm a member already to get the 2TB of storage )

Get a 10% credit applied on all purchases. So about £100 for this.
Ordered the white Pixel 4 XL 128gb for launch.

Still really disappointed that the 'oh so orange' isn't available with 128gb in the UK, at least we get a free Chromebook.

Might very well cancel it before it's shipped though. I'll see what some of the reviews say but it hasn't really wowed me as much as I was hoping it would.

Pixel 4 64GB with preferred care. I've always bought the XL version but I grew tired of it. Finally going to the smaller version though I'm nervous about the battery life.

My answer is all of the above or none of the above. I have given up on trying to guess what goes through minds of OEM strategists. It's fun speculating but it's also frustrating when you see a feature or color restricted by region or carrier.

I switched my order to Amazon. Easier to deal with and I like the $100 Amazon gift card compared to the $100 google store gift card. Also the Amazon gift cards you will get immediately within few days unlike the google store one which takes few weeks to reflect on the account. And last year they screwed me of the pre order credit since i had to exchange for the defective phone and never credited the preorder gift to my google account.

Only disadvantage is they don’t have the 128GB models for the oh so orange on Amazon. I was conflicted between white and orange anyway so went with 128 GB 4 XL clearly white. Ships on 21st and delivers on 23rd.

Those who ordered via google store might want to take a look at Amazon and they deliver on 23rd. Better customer support compared to Google and being prime member i prefer Amazon.

$100 Gift card arriving Thursday and 4 XL on 23rd.

I actually end up doing the same. I wanted to switch to a clearly white when I found out the black is glossy and the Google store was kinda sold out for next week delivery.

I ended up getting the XL clearly white 128gb as well on Amazon.

Verizon Pixel 4XL White 128GB ordered. Expected to be delivered October 23rd.

Where did it tell you the estimated shipping time? I also ordered a white XL immediately after pre-orders went live. I only saw the "delivers by 10/24" language on the product page.

Hell no. Pre-ordering Pixel phones is about the dumbest move you can make, since every single freaking year people regret doing it because they offer a better deal one to two months later. Pass on this crap.

I wasn't going to get one ...but somehow the keynote ended and instinctively my fingers ordered a 64GB P4 XL orange...I definitely should cancel and get the 5% off on my prime card...never even thought to order from them...Thanks for the idea folks :)

EDIT: I cant even find the P4 XL on Amazon??
