Obsidian is coming

If you owned another phone like the droid you may remember the sapphire rom. Well Obsidian is the same built for the X. Its not fully complete with some bugs but its being worked on. Check the link and google around the name for more info. I know a youtube video is around of it running in the X. Might give this a shot or wait till the bugs are fixed. Anyway its a sick rom to keep an eye on.

I'll definitely try it if the bugs are worked out, I need wifi and GPS daily so it's a no go for now...

Yea the gps is keeping me back right now. Could always flash a backup when needed but that would be insane.

You don't want to right now because it's still not totally complete.

But Obsidian is 100% AOSP whereas Apex still maintains some of the Blur framework. If you want a pure Google experience on your Droid X, Obsidian is the closest you can get to that right now.

still in beta. The gps camera and video still don't work. If you can go a few hours without them one day try it out for a bit. Once its complete it will be awesome. Back on apex for now but enjoyed the six hours I used it. Can't wait for the finished rom. Its 100% built from source unlike other roms that just give you the look. Most roms that say blur free still have some key moto stuff to keep it running.

Not sure. It has two builds already and looks to be almost complete with just a few things not working yet. Check the link posted for more info. Ill let everyone know here when its stable.

Try it out now. Only take a few to flash. Play around and get a taste then flash back to your rom now. Dl both zips in the link I posted. Run the first one first then the app second.

Have fun! The battery life is not the best and also being worked on. Went from 100 to 60 in 5 hours but then again I was on it most of the time.
