Also, saw that you updated the first post to say that kernel 007 is recommended only for the VC update. Any particular reason? Been running nROM 1.5.1 (on V9) with it for almost a week with no problems. Knowing that, any reason not to update from 007 to 008?

I was using your kernel (v008) in Thunderom 1.7 (which uses a stock VC kernel normally) and noticed the phone storage free space going down. Other people have said they have said get a "Low Storage" error soon after installing.

Hmm, me too after applying to stock VC. Downloaded 3 times and got the same MD5 each time, so the zip seems to be OK.

EDIT: worked this time. The first time I wiped Dalvik, which causes an error message in CWMA, maybe that was the problem. Anyway, installed wiped cache, all good. Thanks, Zefie!

EDIT again: boo, cold boot brings me to the dreaded LG Logo hang...sigh. No cool kernels for me

So i have been using xionia 007 on a v9 baseband for awhile now but i havnt had any problems with it. So what are the problems that people get when they use 006 or higher on v9?

Problems are with VC not V9 and that is what I would like to know is if the problems with VC are still present.

Will any version of this work with VD? I'm not particularly looking to overclock, but now that VD closes the built-in wifi tether widget loophole, users will be looking for a custom kernel that will allow wifi tether.

VC version works with my VD. Gonna check the sources eventually, I won't say soon because my VM is down and might have even gotten corrupted so it may take a while before I do any devving for any platform again :/

I did a nandroid backup and flashed 008 (I'm on VD). It seems to be working fine. Wireless Tether for root 2.0.7 force closes when I activate the hotspot, so I'm assuming this kernel does not have netfilters enabled?

008 on VD

It deleted SetCPU, LauncherPro, and TitaniumBackup. I keep getting force closes on Messaging and Handcent. And now have about 3mb of internal memory left. I have NO idea what went wrong.

either one should work I'm using 007 right now and from what i can tell the only difference is that 008 has a boot.img

EDIT: Never mind i just found out that they both have a boot.img so either one should work just make a nandroid backup first incase anything does go wrong

009 is coming real soon with VD drivers and experimental (still make a backup) AnyKernel edition, if boot.img breaks your rom or eats space restore nandroid and try AnyKernel edition.
