October Security (left beta)

So currently running NBD90X. Seems that this is the build that everyone will be getting...

Only if you're on the Beta*. That's what the 'B' in NBD90X stands for. The non-beta patches have an 'R'. My Pixel C (which I had on the Beta program but then took off after getting Nougat) got the October Security patch this morning, which brings its build number to NRD91D.

*Oddly, there's a post in another thread from someone who says they unenrolled their phone saying they have the NBD90X build number, which completely disregards Google's past build numbering system of B for Beta and R for Release. So, if that's the case, Google's changed how they format their build numbers and nothing's consistent anymore.

I was stuck on the August build after enrolling in beta (and unenrolling after getting 7.0). I reenrolled in beta tonight and immediately got the X (October) build. It showed a 11xx mb d/l which is odd since I was already on 7.0. I'll probably unenroll from beta yet again and see if the November update comes through on it's own. If not, I'm probably done with Android as Google has yet to impress me with their phones and I'm not interested in returning to Samsung.

Same with my wife's 6P. Build number NRD90M. Not sure why it hasn't been pushed but I'm getting a little concerned.

I had to reenroll and the download came instantly...I do not want to stay enrolled, wondering if I unenrolled again and factory reset if it rectified the situation.

It sounds like I may have to do that as well. If it was my phone I wouldn't care but it's the wife's and I really don't want her on the beta with any potential bugs.

What's the Build number you're on? As Trigati mentioned, if it starts with NB it's a beta version (at least according to the notes on Google's beta page).

NBD90X

If I factory reset won't the build number change to standard, non-beta? I don't want to be part of beta either, I depend on my phone and can't sacrifice potential bugs especially dropped call stuff.

Sorry to clarify my question maybe someone has tested or knows the answer.

If I factory reset my Nexus 6P, run as new device, will I separate myself from the beta format and receive security updates as a regular customer via OTA? I am expecting ting now going forward that in order to continue receiving the security updates since I initiated 7 via beta I'm stuck in beta until otherwise.

I've unenrolled again but build is still NBD which is beta.

I received Nougat 7.0 because I entered beta and then left. A few weeks ago I had to do a factory reset. Did that and I still never got the September security update until I re-enrolled into the beta last week. So not sure a factory reset will help.

What is the NRD90T build that I am on?

I enrolled in Beta to get 7.0 and haven't received an OTA unless I re-enrolled so that is what I did to get up to the October security update and build X. I just unenrolled again to see if I will get the November patch next month.

The B isn't beta version, I've been unenrolled from the beta for at least a month and I just got NBD90X pushed to my Nexus 6p tonight

Yeah I went back to look and the beta starts with NP

Yeah, same. Memory fail for me, since I'd been to the page multiple times in the past but my phone was still enrolled. So when I got the patch it was just 'yeah, B is for beta' as that's what I thought I remembered. Nope, it's P for beta.
