October security update

Left my phone on the wireless charger overnight. Opened it this morning to see the message "restart your phone to finish update". This is a first. I usually am asked to update. I have never had an update go through automatically. I usually wait a couple of days to see if people report bugs. Not an option now. Is there a setting somewhere to prevent automatic updates?

Settings. (My phone is updating at the moment, so I can't look, but I think it's in System somewhere.)

Probably 'Automatic System Updates' in Developer Options.

Hmmmm... I have that enabled but I don't recall ever changing it one way or another. Is that enabled by default in Android 11, or because I started with the beta?
