Odd Issue With Assistant & Calendar Events

Now that GSDer, OP's two phones and mine all doing the same thing. It sounds like not an one off/random bug.

Not suggesting it's a one off. Just can't get it to behave as described. Honestly, I don't use it that feature often enough so that could be the reason I'm not seeing the behavior.

I don't use it much either. OP's post reminded me that I saw it before (maybe before even Pixel 3, when I was on ZTE Axon 7). The duplicate only shows up inside the GA app on the phone. The calendar app shows correctly.

I rarely ever use GA to create events. I use Google Calendar app or Google Calendar web site to create all my future events. So, if you want to try to reproduce it, make sure you created a test event that way. Then, ask for events on the phone's GA.

I only noticed the issue within GA on the phone while invesigating why Android Auto would tell me about events twice. This absolutely drives me crazy. My morning routine while on the commute to the office involves asking AA "what's on my calendar today?". With multiple events per day, it is so infuriating to have to listen to all events twice.

I know.... first world problems, right?! I feel as though with all of the money we spend on premium products, they should work flawlessly; and if not issues should be recitified promptly.
