Odd things happening with Titanium Backup

Background: I've been loading the Euroskank Jelly Bean ROM (CM10) daily for a week or so. I do a dirty load so as to keep my apps in place. It works well except for one instance.

Problem: Every day after the flash of the ROM one of my applications disappears. It's NFC Task Launcher. Just goes away. I have to redownload it.

So, you say, just back it up with Titanium Backup and restore it after the ROM flash. No can do, say I. NFC Task Launcher never shows up as something I can backup in Tibu. Huh? Is this some kind of stealth app?

The NFC Task Launcher let's me change settings by tapping on an RFID tag. I have these RFID tags spread all around and they make life convenient. But every day I need to reprogram every tag with NFC Task Launcher and it's become a pain in the neck.

Why does flashing a ROM (dirty) erase this app and leave all the others intact? Why doesn't Tibu see this app? This app does not need root to run.

Do you have any filters enabled in TiBu that may be causing it to not show? Hit the backup/restore tab and then filters (near top right), make sure none are enabled and then click the green checkmark...

No the filters aren't an issue. However, I did a reboot of my phone and now NFC Task Launcher shows up. Hmmm. Maybe just an off day for me?

Ok, I think I figured it out. When telling NFC Task Launcher to turn on GPS it requires it to be set as a system app. I'm just guessing that's why it disappears when I reflash a rom and also why it doesn't show up in Tibu.
