Oddity of the day - Mail not syncing

I have several yahoo and my gmail accounts set up in HTC mail to sync every hour during "peak times". Today the phone has not automatically synced. I looked at the settings and while my settings are there, instead of showing the frequency as "every hour" it showed as "manual". I forced each account to sync and then afterward it did show "every hour". The phone did not sync after the hour at all until I once again forced it to check. This has worked fine since I got the phone on the day it was released. I turned the phone off and back on again but it is still not syncing itself. I dont know if this may give an idea but I charged it overnight and after I unplugged the phone a battery indicator appeared in the notifications and the only way I could get it to go away (as I did not set it to be there or could figure out how to do that to start with and I never saw this before) was with the phone shut off I mentioned before. The only thing I did different was yesterday I set up a different "scene" and flipped back and forth a few times. Any ideas?

Have you done an actual battery pull or just a shut off?, I would try the full battery pull to dump any cached memory that is stored in the phone

Very weird. I only turned it on and off. I see that the frequency can be set in 2 places. Off of the "menu->settings->accounts & sync" menu or from within mail itself as "menu->more->settings". I changed 2 of the accounts to sync every 1/2 hour and now I just got the notification of the previous response. I changed the settings in "accounts & sync" back to an hour but the settings off the account on the mail app still showed 1/2 hour. Im wondering if there's a disconnect between the two and they are not synching and its getting lost. I set it to an hour in both places and will see what happens next. Gotta love it!

I have the same "non-sync" problem with my exchange account. I found that a quick battery pull works - when the phone come back to life all of my messages are synced. I am using Touchdown and havne't contacted them yet but at least I know a battery pull will clear it up.
