Odds that the Note will ship early?

Just noticed mine moved from delivered by 8/19, to ships by 8/19. I ordered a black, within 5 minutes of them going live with preorders. I'm pretty mad about this... Anyone got an idea?

The truth is out! Now we all know why T-Mobile users get their phones early, and why other companies (ex: Verizon) aren't likely to be sending things out early.

Interesting information, thanks for sharing.

What do you mean move? Where did you look? Oh never mind..mine changed as well to ship by

8 days and counting

Some Verizon folks, including moi, stated that their Verizon confirmation now says SHIP BY. Please confirm

It's odd, my Verizon "ship" date is 8/19 which typically means it won't leave the warehouse until then.

I remember a few years back, I pre-ordered an HTC from Sprint and it was stuck in customs for almost a month! It was because of Samsung or Apple patents. I don't remember. That was the last time I pre-ordered a phone. It was pretty frustrating!

I was part of that fiasco as well. That was the last phone I pre-ordered until the note 7.

This is my first and last

It is still 8 days before the actual physical release of the phone. Why would you abandon pre-orders already forever? Because you haven't gotten the phone a week early? lol

This is my first preorder of a device. I'll admin it is a little stressful. However, until something actually goes wrong with it I'm not hating on preorders yet.

Hmph **folding arms and looking away** lol

It'll all be fine. Everybody will get their phones by the 19th. Probably a day or possibly 2 earlier. No reason to be upset that it's not shipped a week before it's release date. Nobody ever said it would be in our hands before the 19th.

Just because you may not get it "early" doesn't mean you won't get it on time.

And there is nothing confirmed anyway.

Okay okay lol I got you

So very true. Just like everyone else I would love to have this phone in my hands right now, but we all knew when ordering the date for delivery was suppose to be the 19th anyway. Getting it early would just be a bonus.

My expectation was for pre order to be just that, PRE ORDER..not switching up stuff on customers like you guys and me.first it was delivery by 19, then it went to ship by 19. It kinda of annoying if you ask me but you know, you guys are right..getting it a day or two after it before won't be bad at all.

Pretty simply put, if it doesn't ship by the 18th, I'm going to cancel my order. I'll go in store, and buy one the next morning. Luckily I drive around for work, and Friday's I have an open hour about 10 am in which I can stop in and purchase it. I also use my phone for work, and my boss has zero issues about me going to Verizon. I didn't preorder with any hope of it coming early, I only preordered to essentially guarantee me getting it on 8/19. I also ordered minutes after it was available... That's why I'm bummed my ship date changed to shipping the 19th instead of delivery the 19th.

Lol , I want this phone as bad as anybody but some of you guys are so dramatic it's hilarious , talk about first world problems lol. Anxiously waiting for next week

Just getting it the day of or day before street day is a bonus because you don't have to go into a store and deal with anyone or wait in line. That said, I believe we will still have them 2-3 days before the 19th.

To be fair, the amount of pre-orders around the world have far exceeded what they expected. They have now pushed out Malaysia's release date a month, and pushed out someone else.. Netherlands I think. There is talk it could push out more release dates in Europe.

I think Samsung underestimated the sales when they returned the SD card, many Note 3 and Note 4 people not upgrading last year, the UK and no launch there for the Note 5 and then introducing different colors on top of the normals buyers. South Korea like doubled their normal pre-sales.

I expected big sales but it is looking like they are more than Samsung expected. At least we aren't a country where they pushed out our release date a month.
