I've been looking online all over the place trying to find an OEM Battery Cover/Door for the Atrix and I can't seem to find one . There's doors/covers available for every other android phone, even the G2 and Mytouch 4G which use metal ones.

Anyone have any idea when OEM doors generally become available?

Okay, here's the deal. I found out how to MAYBE get your battery door replaced. I posted a could be solution on a thread similar to this one, but originally posted by Terrigno. For details on how to possibly get a brand new replacement, make sure to read the new thread. :)

The new thread is titled "OEM Back cover?" by Terrigno. So once again, check it out! Hopefully you'll find an answer :)

Yes everyone. Check it out, The man was right. My new OEM back cover will be here in a few days thanks to his information!

Thats strange you cant find them there are many options on the Bell canada site including a very tempting "rugged" battery cover, i might get one of those!

When I read the Amazon description, it seems to indicate there is an insert to allow the rugged cover to work on docks. That would be great. I'm seriously looking at this rubber OEM cover.

mine should be here today, maybe tomorow,so i will post here again and let everone know what i think and ill take some good pictures.(bought the green rugged cover)

Anyone know of a place in the US to get the rugged battery covers? Amazon has them listed but they don't estimate they will ship them for 1-2 months.

If you copy the model number from amazon you can search for other sellers with google shopping.

At the time I was looking for battery covers, they werent available. But I will agree, these do look pretty nice!

Okay, here's something new! In case you dont want to buy those rugged battery doors, or dont want to go throught the warranty process. You can buy them from Moto's site. There 20 bucks, but at least you'll save some money over the rugged ones.

I just ordered a blue and green rugged battery door cover from this website below. Other people on XDA have ordered from them and they like them. I will update once I receive mine (will take a while as it is shipping from china and I opted for the cheap shipping option). They also sell the stock OEM battery door.

Have you received yours yet? I am thinking of ordering the blue one.

Thanks

Guy on ebay is also selling the oem back covers that motorola cancelled I received mine about a week ago it's basically a battery door that has rubber come up over the edges I like it too bad it didn't come with the dock adapter that would have been nice.

I got mine from cnn.cn (in Hong Kong - mentioned above). It took about two weeks get it (Massachusetts) - I also opted for the cheapo shipping. It does indeed fit the car dock (with the insert removed). It offers a much better grip than the original smooth battery cover, but it seems less "protective" than the TPU case that I bought right after getting the phone last month. Overall, I am pleased with it, as I don't have to be taking a case on and off every time I want to put the phone in the car dock.

I've also got the rubberized batter door. Got it from cnn as well. I've had for a week now and like it alot. The cons of it are it will "grab" your pockets when you insert it into your pocket. By the usb and hdmi ports the cover is very thin and flimsy. Its much easier to hold in your hand though. The oem one is very slippery.
