OEM WeatherBug Widget time is off

I am rooted and running EB01 which kept all of the Verizon bloatware and Samsung apps that came on the phone. Then I deleted or froze what I didn't want.

I love the WeatherBug widget that came on the phone and kept it. However I recently noticed that the analog clock displayed on this widget is one hour ahead of the actual time. However within that program the digial time displayed is correct as is the phone's time. There is no setting that I can find to change the time within the program. No options other than to set the refresh time or F to C.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The Widget on the screen"re-freshes" ever so often. I have mine to do it every three hours. If you tap the widget arrows it will freshen it self.
Once in the set up press the bottom left key on the phone ( the system key?) It will then show you the time settings. Hope that helps.

Still an hour off

Thanks, but that didn't help. I also have mine set to refresh every three hours. And I do know you can refresh at will by touching the arrows. But the dial on the clock remains one hour off even though the digital time in that application is correct. I am wondering if this has anything to do with Daylight Savings time? I seem to remember it being correct when I first got the phone the end of January. It might have been messed up since the time change and I just didn't notice. I see no way to fix it. There is no option to set the clock in the application or to allow for Daylight Savings time.

Thanks for trying to help me.

Settings-->date&time-->uncheck automatic-->then u can set date, select time zone, and SET TIME. That is what your looking for. I don't know if this is a 2.9.2 only option but maybe something like that in stock eb01 let me know.

time settings

Maybe I didn't make it clear. The time on the phone is correct. I have other apps with the time and it is correct. In fact if you open up the Weatherbug Widget itself the time IS correct at the bottom in the digital format. But the widget's display that shows the analog clock with the hands is one hour ahead of the actual time and the time that shows on all other applications. In other words the Weatherbug widget show two different times in its own program! This is very strange. I know that it displayed correctly when I first got my phone. I can't remember when it became incorrect.

I just moved from stock Eclair to 2.2.1 EB01 yesterday and I now have the same clock issue. I changed to SET TIME and did a reboot - no difference. The weatherbug system time is showing correct. It's not like I really look at the analog clock for time, though.

I just loaded a bunch of cities in different time zones into the weatherbug widget - the clock displays the time in the selected city - it obviously uses the phone's time with a timezone offset rather than pinging the weatherbug system to run a clock. All the US cities I chose were off an hour - except for Phoenix - AZ doesn't have daylight savings time.

The problem may be in how the widget is resolving DST.

time

I think you are right. I think it is an issue with the Weatherbug widget and Daylight Savings time because I honestly believe it was right until then, although I can't swear by it.

Too bad it isn't the other way around. We have more months of DST than we do standard time (sigh). Too bad it can't be right for DST.

The DST problem might be more version-specific, because in the thread below - after the DST change but while on stock eclair - my clock was fine, but bgbird was having this problem on froyo...
