I haven't noticed any change in the wifi signal...I am actually sitting in the same room with the router and either have no bars or one bar.
I do think they fixed the issue with the phone laying on a table.."grounded"...as I believe some are calling it. The screen seems more responsive when laying on a flat surface.
One thing I have noticed is that my cell phone signal now keeps dropping to an "X" which I think means no service. I am new to Sprint
Before this update I usually had 2 bars in my home and it would jump up suddenly to full bars and then down to 1 bar, but now it keeps showing an "x" and no bars. I hope this isn't going to be a problem.

Looks like I'm going to have to go to Sprint to get a new phone.
Mine Bricked after the update. Not rooted or anything like that. Ran the update, then the screen went from doing stuff to doing nothing. Now I get no LED charge light, no power.
Not very happy right now, but I guess them's the breaks sometimes.
But yeah, this thing is a nice sexy brick.

I'm peeved that the long press on the keys does not work now. That sucks. The loss of the Android Wallpapers is one thing, but I will miss this feature. Hopefully they will fix this soon.
I'm working now. The 4G splash screen took a couple minutes and then the phone finally came back. Whew.
Unfortunately, all devices usually get a few "broken" ones after a software update. It sucks when it happens, but luckily they'll be able to fix you up at a Sprint store right away and definitely for free.
One thing you could do to help is list all of the Apps you had installed on your EVO to see if a culprit can be found.
Looks like the update does indeed fix the grounding problem. No issues touching screen now when not handling phone.
Only thing I've noticed so far are things missing or no longer working (android wallpapers missing, shoot-me not working).

I checked with WiFi Analyzer app. I was getting -60dbm before the update. It has improved to -40dbm in same location from router.
1. Mp3 store by Amazon is now "Amazon mp3" in apps. It moved to top because of app name change.

My wife's having a similar problem, but her's is stuck on the screen that has the little green update icon. After an hour and a half, we removed the battery for a few minutes, put it back in, and still won't leave that screen.
So I'm not the only one
I thought mine was bricked too but it wasn't in the end...
- Pull battery for several minutes
- Power on, if no power on, pull battery again, repeat until power, otherwise fracked
- After boot it may stick on the Sprint 4G splash screen for a LONG time. I thought it was bricked but it did eventually get through, takes minutes.

One thing you can try. Remove the battery and do not plug it into any power source. Wait awhile, maybe 10 min, and then put the battery back in.
It makes no real sense but I have had that fix other phones as well as laptops that got hung up. My thinking is it lets any capacitors discharge completely and then is a complete, from no power, reboot.
Can't hurt to try it at least though it probably won't fix it.. i

So I got the update this morning and I can vouch for definitely a better Wifi signal at my house in same spot and I just did a speedtest on it and got the highest download speed I have ever gotten at my house. I got a 7035kbps download, I would say that wifi is much better now!!!
