What happened to the "System Tutorial" ? On my About screen (Stock 4.0.2) it's just below the "Legal Information" line.

You don't even need to do that. With a simple text editor and root access, you can change those fields to anything you want. All the info on that screen is stored in the file "/system/build.prop".

I was told by Verizon that a update was scheduled for early February. Heh don't hold your breath. That's twice I've called and they told me a update was scheduled for February.

@moosc where did you get your bottom soft keys?

I was under the impression that 4.0.3 was simply the revision created to bring the Nexus S to ICS. I don't expect 4.0.3 to be pushed to the GN. It is far more likely that 4.0.4 (or higher) will include the next round of bug fixes and be pushed to the GN.

Well seeing as the transformer prime and motorola xoom have 4.0.3 I am going to have to say it was never just for the nexus S. Also this guy just showed us proof he has it pre-installed. Plus if he used a custom rom it would have different values that reflect the current rom and not be stock info and I would hope he wouldn't go through the process of root and text editing and then fact check the numbers and info just to prank us.

Why hasn't the official update to Android 4.0.3 been released for the Galaxy Nexus? Manufacturers are already coming out with upgrades for their Hoenycomb Tablets to Android 4.0.3 while a device that is supposed to get updates first is still stuck in Android 4.0.2.

I wonder if Google will release something to us Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners like Android 4.0.4 or 4.1 with even more features just to be ahead of everyone else. The phone already lacks group messaging, poor audio quality (especially on the voice navigation app) and official support for Google Wallet. Maybe even a beta release of Majel? That would really make it worthwhile for us Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners.

Your thoughts on the delay.

Two tablets have it, and neither has a cellular radio. No phone other than the galaxy nexus has it.

I'm definitely not trying to prank anyone. I just stumbled into this thread bc I though 4.0.3 was the latest version released. Phone is not rooted.

I was under the impression that 4.0.3 was meant for non galaxy nexus phones and tabs, then we would receive any further updates after this one such as 4.0.4 and so on

blah blah yea we know. This is why none of us are anticipating 4.0.3 and there are no threads about it.

...Oh wait.

I laughed for a while when I read this!! Some phones are just perfect out of the box and the rest of us have lemons!

What's the big deal about not having 4.0.3? The 4.0.3 changelog doesn't seem to have anything exciting updated in it. Is it a feature you want, or is everyone just mad because their Nexus doesn't have the absolute latest release?

I come from a Nexus S, and there were a lot of times when a point release wasn't rolled to all versions of the phone. I don't think it's a big deal.

That wasn't the main point of the question. The point is do you think we will get a higher version with even more features. Like Majel. I for one hope it comes out for the Galaxy Nexus

You keep bringing that up, but there's no proof it even exists yet. Let alone anywhere near being ready to be released. As far as all of us should be concerned, its not even worth discussing.

I cant say that I don't understand his excitement, Majel looks like its going to be an interesting piece of technology. And according to all those tech sites out there, Majel was supposed to be release in Beta before the end of 2011 and it wasn't. So is it possible the beta version of it could find its way into an update? Maybe... Doubtful but not out of the question.

More than likely it would be an app on the app market though, at least at this point.

I apologize if I missed something. But I keep checking for updates and I don't get any
