[Official] Cyanogen Mod 7 Nightly thread

Are you downloading and flashing the Nightlies through ROM manager? If so you may want to try downloading from the mirror site and flashing through recovery. The last version I flashed was #94 and several previous ones and never had any issues. I always downloaded from the mirror and flashed via recovery. Just a suggestion.

Yea, I have been downloading via the mirror and flashing from recovery ever since I saw an Installation Aborted from one of the ROM Manager based flashes leaving me with a bootscreen only.

Seems to be working better. One of the additions I upgraded for however (the status bar slide to adjust brightness), is a bit disappointing. It doesn't work very well or consistently. But otherwise everything seems to be working fine and I'm on 2.3.4 :)

You may want to test your calling.. I've seen people report being able to make calls but not being able to hear anything. Just a heads up.

Calling worked, as did 4G and wifi. Couple small bugs, on fresh boot the screen doesn't come up, have to turn it off then back on. Not a huge deal, but there... I actually ended up restoring my stable nandroid... The RC1 didn't feel as polished, and there weren't any real advantages (to me) yet. And I didn't want my 2.3.3 image to grow stale. I'll try an update again later. Just getting it to work satisfied the mod bug for a while... :p

The newest nightlies have some pretty cool new features. You no longer need to restart notification bar after applying themes, there's built in screen shot and tap zoom on camera app. I'm sure there are more that's just what I have noticed. Just a heads up for those who haven't ran an updated nightly in while.. Like me :p

flashed the most current nightly ( #129 I think), everything looks to be running pretty good but I can't find the built in screen shot..?
Also battery life has been pretty bad compared to MikShifted ROM. Does it usually take time for the ROM to settle in or should I try a different kernel?

For the screen shot, hold down the power button like your rebooting or powering off. You'll see an option for screen shot.

As far as battery life, I've been running a new nightly for about 2 days and my battery life does seem to be getting a little better. It was draining pretty quick, I've just been running the stock kernel. I'll probably flash Sparksco's kernel tonight and give it a battery test tomorrow.

Ahh wow. Should have figured out the screen shot thing. Thanks though:)

Scary just released a new kernel that can be oc'ed up 1.9ghz! It really flies using this ROM

Yep, I've been running Scary's kernel since last night and haven't had any issues. I do get lock ups if I try to run at 1.9ghz though. A few people are posting quad scores 4K plus running at 1.9..
