[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

When on WiFi it locks on perfect but if I'm on just 3G then it shows me a couple of miles off.

No I haven't bother with the GPS fix yet. I am going to do it tomorrow as I need it for this weekend.

Ok, if i update from 7.0.3.1 to build #77 just wipe cache & dalvik? Also what gapps would I flash for 2.3.4?

Thanks

Is anyone else having the same problem when rebooting the phone when its plugged in the screen just stays blank after its done rebooting and you have to turn off the screen then back on so you can the screeen again.

First time rooting and reflashing my phone. Was very hesitant after reading all of these threads but gave it a try anyway. Installed CM7 nightly 77 and everything seems to work, even GPS. I did do a full wipe prior to installing however.

One question. How do I adjust the resolution of the camera? I don't see any type of setting for pictures or video res.

I been having the same problem with the screen being blank since like nightly 70 I flashed 77 and I still have the problem. Flashed it from the stock rom too so did a full wipe and everything. Ughh

Open the camera app, (hold the phone in landscape mode) and hit the button at the top that looks like a circle with a dial in the middle. You will see Focus Mode .. scroll down on that list for the different pixel options.

I thought google chat with video was part of that update?

Yes it was. However, I think someone got video chat to work on 2.3.3. I'll see if I can't find it.
I did have FC problems when I tried it and I didn't have a custom kernel but that don't mean it will happen to others. Thats just how my luck runs lol

Here it is plus a second thread:
[APP] Google Talk w/Video & Voice for 2.3.3 roms CONFIRMED WORKING!! - xda-developers
[APP] Updated GAPPS with Google Talk Video (2.3+) - xda-developers

You got the FC when trying the google talk & voice on 2.3.3?

As soon as it open it would FC. So I just went back to the 2.3.4 nightly. Wasn't a big deal for me. Got video chat working and now GPS, so I'm good. :)

I am also having the screen being black on boot. But it is only when you first start up the phone, clear it once and you are good to go until next reboot/power cycle.

Can anybody tell which CM7 nightly has better battery life and stable 4G usage? I am on the stable that was released a few weeks ago and I am getting tired of charging my Evo up then unplugging to find the battery level drop one to three percent right away then continue to drain in a few hours. Also ever since CM7 came out my 4G would work but either: A. I could use it for about one hour then bam it would reboot on its own. or B. Would work for an hour as well but then freeze my phone causing me to pull the battery out.

I would recommend the tiamet SBC kernal v. 4.0.0 in plugged for three hours and is still on 100% plus I'm only useing the stock 1500mah battery and 4.2.0.1 has great 4g connection for me

Isnt the Tiamat 4.0.0 kernel having trouble with the audio in HDMwIn or is that just in 4.0.2 version?
I love the Tiamat kernels, I'm using 3.3.8 sbc myself with CM7 7.0.3.1

I was using Tiamat 4.0.2, until agraben updated his Poonkang kernel earlier this morning. I can route audio through the HDMI cable for the first time, and HDMwIn resumes mirroring after it's unplugged and plugged back in!
