[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

Build 10 has native theming support, much like MIUI!!!! Grab it now!

Grab it from this fast mirror

this ef'ing amazing, they did a bunch of stuff in this build, including and update to ANDROID 2.3.2!

They actually did that in last night's build.

Currently, on last night's build, I've been unplugged for 2.5 hours and I'm down to 48% battery doing basically nothing on the phone... Any ideas?

The latest nightly runs great. CyanogenMod Settings are more organized now. Build 8 is based off Android 2.3.2. Yeah they are fast right lol. So no SMS bug ;-) Also has the T-Mobile Theme engine. Have no idea what it does or how to use it. (It requires you to use the default ADW launcher installed with CM7 for right now).

I'm running CM7 build 8 right now, and I'm using Go Launcher as my default launcher without any trouble. I've been using it for the last several nightlies.

To use the theme engine correctly Cyanogen says to use the default launcher. I'm just going by what the man says ;-) I use ADWEX but I'm happy how my set up is.

Have you taken a look at Spare Parts?? Sounds to me like you have a wake lock issue.

I haven't looked this time 'round but I've had the same issue since CM 6 and, yes, Android System likes to throw partial wake locks at me...

UPDATE:

Maps has a Partial Wakelock of 32m, ROM Manager has 25m, Android System has 1m. It looks like GPS has been polling constantly...

Time without sleeping is 1h 51m.

BT has been on the whole time.

WiFi was on for 10m. By the way, WiFi has stopped working again...

What are you using in Maps?? Latitude? When you open up Spare Parts does is say it's been running 100%? GPS has issues for me so I just turned it off.

I have Latitude turned on so I'd assume that's what's trying to get GPS data. I'm far more concerned with the lock from Android System than I am with the lock from Maps...

And I can't very well test things if I go disabling everything. My question is where I should report this stuff for the CM team as he says not to report bugs on Nightlies to the normal place....

You really can't report. Nighlies are unsupported builds.

OK, so how do they know what needs fixed? That's my point....

I'm not looking for support, I'm looking to make sure bugs get handled... Call it alpha / beta testing... That's what this is, is it not?

Nope :) The CM team has said in the past they do not want bug reports on nightly builds, that they don't consider them "alpha" even. They just make them publicly available for the heck of it, I suppose.

I get what you're saying, but they don't consider people who run the nightly builds to be testers- the dev team does that (until a beta or alpha drops officially). For now, we're just on our own playing at our own risk on our own :)

Errors reports are automatically sent to CM if you approved it in settings. But im talking major stuff, hard reboots, babies dying, etc.

Nightlys are for fun, not for B testin.

On the new build everytime i go to the market it force closes :/

and when i put messaging as a lock tap it wont even unlock
