[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

Had to go back to #33. Bluetooth continues to be seriously wonky on all CM7 builds, but the latest two builds won't even let you pair a device if it requires a code... tries to launch car home right after pairing regardless of it being turned off.

I was able to pair two devices requiring codes under RC4. I have not tried the latest nightlies though. I'm sticking to RC4 so I can post official bugs at this point...

I just flashed it as well. No issues so far, was able to turn 4g on and off without issue or jumping through hoops. I will have to try out tether this evening.

Maps/GPS working fine, camera and camcorder also doing well. How far should I be able to overclock on the new Tiamat kernel? I wanna see how n35 handles some increased speed.

I am running RC4 and I do not have the option to switch to front facing camera. I have flashed twice - once with ROM Manager and once manually, wiping data/cache/dalvik. I do not have an option to switch cameras either on the main camera screen or through the menu key. Has anyone else run into this? Thanks

You may have a bad flash. I've got it on my RC4 build and it works as expected. It comes up when I press the menu key from within the Camera app.

I'm on nightly 35 now and have the same issues. I downloaded RC4 twice, so I am not sure what the problem is. No one else seems to be experiencing it though.

Figured out what the Bluetooth/Car Home problem was. An app called Bluetooth Volume was causing the issue. Uninstalled the app and now all is well.

BT is still a bit wonky with disconnects and such when Wifi is enabled. Turn off wifi when in the car, and it works much better.

Say, anybody know where I can download and how to install the latest Radio/Wimax to be used with CM7? Want to make sure I'm using the latest and correct versions.

GPS

Hey everyone. So Im not sure if this issue has been discussed or not but since Ive flashed to RC4 my GPS has just crapped out. I flashed nightly 35 last night to see if it would do anything but it still doesnt work. I tried using GPSFix from the android market which actually allowed my phone to pinpoint location but when I try to use navigation it'll start then say GPS signal lost and will hang on "Searching for GPS". Can someone please tell me how to get my GPS back???????...............I rely on my phone for navigation as I travel a lot.

I'm in the same boat. Went to nightly 35 in hopes of a GPS fix, sadly I found out that's a no go. At this point I'm probably going to stock again then when it's all fixed reroot and put on CM7. I rely too much on my cell to screw around.

This is known issue for some, but there is a workaround that has been proven to work.

Get MSL Reader from market.

Use MSL Reader to get your MSL and write it down.

Do a nand backup and flash a Sense ROM.

Open phone dialer and dial ##GPSCLRX# and enter your MSL.

Phone will reboot back to Sense

Nand restore back to CM7.

Yeah, I did this yesterday and it worked fine.

You just forgot one step: After dialing ##GPSCLRX# and putting in the MSL number, the phone will reboot automatically back into Sense.

Thanks, I'll put that in case there are others that see it for the first time.
