Flash the latest nightly and see if that helps. Also, make sure your wifi is set too "never sleep"

Looks like cyanogen committed kernel and module changes... I'm hoping it's the EDID fix I'm looking forward to, but we'll see! No build for this as of now...

There's some sort of bug with the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data, thanks Google!) parsing in the kernel that causes the phone to freeze and reboot when certain (not many at all) TVs are connected through HDMI. My 32' Westinghouse locks up my phone every time lately, but my roommate's plasma does not. I could go into more detail with my troubleshooting, but I don't want to derail the thread! :]

Coming from a company that specializes in AV equipment, we have experienced MANY issues with HDMI, hdmi is one crazy BEAST particularly since manufacturers use different chips within their designs causing issues from source to display. Not surprised that this issues are found on the EVO...it would only make sense that issues would occur with certain TVs...I would just comment in letting everyone know that NOT all TVs will work very great with certain types of sources. EDID helps in that you can force your source to a certain resolution that your Display supports or handles better.

for the gps, if I have a nandroid of warm 2.2 can I go to that to do the ##, enter the msl then go back to cm7? Or do I have to flash a sence rom? I ask because I just tried it and it didn't work. I will try flashing a different sence rom and see if it works that way.

Using a rooted stock ROM is what I recommend. Also you SHOULD do a fresh re-flash of CM7 after you do the fix

Urgent help needed

Im running CM7 nightly 36 and its been fine but out of nowhere my phone has stopped sending text messages......wtf do I do???.....please help...i got some females thinking im ignoring them right now lol

so far i reflashed the rom and tried handcent.....neither did the trick

Does anyone else have a strange display issue with Google Maps and CM7? I'm on one of the nightlies (I think 28). When I launch Google Maps it launches fine. When I try to type in the search bar nothing changes on the screen but the text is entered. I know this because if I click the search button it says, "Searching for <whatever I typed>".

I may try to flash a newer nightly and see if that does the trick. Or I may just suffer through a few days until CM 7 final hits.

And it still freezes.... that's okay. When I have more time later I'm gonna try a fresh install and see if that works... Something felt different about the pulldown bar from 36 to 37 but I can't say for sure... probably nothing.

Any one else having over heating issues? I just had to swap out my phone and get a replacement. The last 2 weeks it would over heat daily. The phone would vibrate 5 times and shut off. And would not restart until I pulled the battery.

Aha, I knew something was off about the notification bar. No more date displaying... It felt empty lol. Everything else is working well for me though.. I has having an issue on n34 to n36 where the battery percent in the bar, the time, and other things would freeze up. Couldn't enter text into some fields (making a folder in Root Explorer) but it hasn't happened yet on n37.

my phone gets to 113 sometimes, it gets way to hot. but thats with any rom ever the stock one
