[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

I haven't had a chance to read this thread all the way back to the beginning, so I apologize if I ask something that's already been covered.
Has CM announced anything about build 7 and WiMax timing? This is NOT a request for an ETA. Let me make that clear. I am more curious if the move from 6.1.2 to 7 has any other features and changes that we can anticipate. As much as I'd like to know how far on the horizon to look for Wimax in CM, I'm aware of the rules (DO NOT ASK FOR ETA).
Otherwise, I really really like the most release RC. It's gorgeous, stable, and snappy as hell.

I don't know the details but I have seen mention of WiMax in the Github commits so work is being done.

I'm dumb... didn't realize the version I just loaded was 7.0. I'm obviously in need of more coffee. So, it's being worked on. I thought that Wimax was scheduled for the next release and I was wondering what other goodies they were working on. It's still potentially in this release. Fingers crossed.

#2 was seriously borked up when trying to turn off wifi, so I went back to the last nightly before they restarted the numbering. Last night I went to #3, and it seems much better.

I still wish I could find a change-log somewhere that let me know which features or fixes are added each day.

I thought a change log was in each build? If you look under phone info. There should be one on the web somewhere also.

I flashed the Build #3 Nightly earlier today. Lookout and Setcpu kept force closing, so I went back to RC1.

Sometimes on a FC you can use Titanium backup and do a quick backup, uninstall, restore. If you don't have titanium yet, it a givin.

I dont know the info...check out cyanogen's twitter feed where he originally announced it!

I'm following them and went through their tweets but can't find it still... I'll wait and see if someone has better luck.

Apparently the tether on 4g is supposed to work. Might be slow. Saw this on teamwins xda thread:
The Wimax Settings Advanced menu isn't fully implemented and doesn't really work.
It seems that wifi tethering is slow for some people over 4g... workaround: install filterproxy from the market and use it when you wireless tether

It wasn't really clear if that was for gginggerbread-6 from TeamWin or for the newest merge. I found that even gginggerbread-6 was not tethering 4g. I'll be flashing tonight's to find out.

I dont know if any other processes are needed, or if the above statement still hold true.
We will see tonight!
