Gginggerbred 6 tethered well for me, I got 5 - 6 MB download speed. I went back to cm7. Too unstable. If tonight's nightly with Wimax is running smooth like cm7 #5 then we good to go

You were able to tether 4g? what hardware you on? I just got a tweet back from Shinzul saying that the tether fix and situation still applied.

According to Cyanogen's Twitter post, Build #6 is supposed to have Wimax. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to verify.... stayed up late flashing Build #5 last night! Btw: Build #5 is great!

Nighty??

Hey guys Im new to flashing my rom and last night i took the plunge. I used the cyanogen nighty 5. Well nighty 6 is out now. Do I have to do a complete reset from nighty to nighty? Or can I flash the rom without wiping everything clean.

I reboot in Recovery and then wipe the two caches first. Then I flashed the Nightly via ROM Manager. But I'm a noob, so see what others say first.

No need to wipe data. I like to wipe cache and dalvik, but some might just install without a wipe.

This build is looking pretty sweet. Just wish I was back home to test out the 4g. Oh well guess I can wait on more week. Just glad to see 4g and Gingerbread together.

I'm on 003. I just DL #6 and we have Wimax. It's running smooth
Much better than GB 6. GpS is spot on and tether is working good.I clocked 5 MB DL on Evo and 3 MB on my computer tethering. I did notice 4G shutting down and up again all on it's own. BUT I'm happy!!!!.. now looking forward to nightly update as I know things will get better. Nice work CM! Very smooth.

I just wish I HAD WiMax...

There's hope yet. They flipped the switch on a 4G tower here in town today. Only 1, and it ends about a quarter mile from my house, but it's up and running. I didn't figure we'd ever see Wimax 4G here. Hope other Sprint towers here follow suit, and do it soon!

Update: WiFi on and 4g at the same time causes 4G not to work. The WiFi won't turn off auto when 4G turns on. Manual shut down WiFi then 4g on worked. Also I had to reboot after Wifi and 4g at the same time because 4g wouldn't reconnect.

So!! Manually turn one on and off and it works great. Am I making any sense?

Also, I think Sense rom turned off Wifi automatically when 4G got turned on. Anyways, I'm sure its being worked on. GPS management is spot on. Turns off and on nicely. What a kick ass rom. Very smooth fast and stable. Many thanks to CM and donation on its way
