[Official] CyanogenMod 7 discussion

Figured out I can download the gmail app from the google gmail blog and that worked. I tired flashing the voicemail.zip thats floating around and that didn't seem to work. Any suggestions for voicemail?

Thanks

I just loaded Youmail (visual voicemail app). It is very nice.

There is NO official changelog for the nightlys.
You can see what goes in (sorta) by looking at the commits and such on github. :p

Gps is working for me okay... maybe you should reflash

GPS was working for me around build 24 or so, I did the Sense dialer fix method to get it working, but since maybe the RC it has not, it didn't work when I was running the Wimax branch and now that I am back to the nightlies it is also not working. This is getting a bit old since it was working real well for a while.

GPS is working fine for me on the latest nightly.

Does anyone have a changelog for build 7?

Go to Cyanogenmod Settings/Syetem/View Changlog right from your phone.

The Changelog was there way before the RC1 release so I'm thinking it gets updated with nightlies. Not sure how accurate it is as I rarley look at it.

I wonder what's going on with build #8. Its late posting almost a day. You think something good brewing? Or everyone taking a break?

Can someone tell me where to find the instructions to get gps working useing the sence method

1 - Go to the Market and download the app: MSL Reader
2 - Use this app to get your MSL # (mine was six digits)
2 - Flash to any Sense ROM
3 - Launch phone dialer and dial ##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#)
4 - Enter the MSL Number from above
5 - Your phone will automatically reboot in 10 seconds
6 - Still in Sense, go to maps and let it lock. Go into recovery.
7 - Flash CM7
7 - Hopefully this fixed your GPS!

There were no commits after build #7 anyways so we there was no point in a build #8.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there were any commits after build #6, let alone #7. Last commits that I see were early morning 2/23/11 and build 6 happened late evening 2/23/11 - so I'm pretty sure #6 and #7 are identical, unless they just stopped tweeting changes.

soonsoon: when code is added to the main branch of the cyanogen project, it's been "committed". As each piece of code is committed, a more-or-less cryptic tweet goes out on @cmsrc summarizing the change. Unless you're a dev, the changes can be hard to understand, but you can usually get at least a general idea of what's being worked on.

It looks like the last time new code was committed was 2 am last Wednesday, so it looks like nothing's changed since then.

Exactly. Last commit (at least tweeted ones) was:

As for #6 to #7 although nothing was posted, it has been said to have had a systemui/framework change something like that. Cant remember exactly.
