Official Droid X Froyo update thread

Keep getting a 'failed to update'

I unrooted...replaced the .apk files with the stock ones...but also forgot about some themed files that the nexus one theme had replaced...trying again now.

Hopefully that works, im in the process of re-downloading the update

Installed in about 6 minutes. I updated Gmail manually from the market place. Couldn't connect at first, hit retry and all was good. Phone seems a little slower, but we'll see.

Noticed new icons for Google Search, News and Weather (I think this is new), Quickoffice, and VZ Navigator.

Not sure if this is new or not, but when looking at photos in the gallery I can rotate my picture 360 degrees by using multi touch.:D

Did they fix a bug when you tap the search button for a contact and tap that contact, the phone numbers display for a second and then disappear?

Having same issue with text messaging, so far I am getting new messages and the contact stays in the same position in the Inbox. Any help?

Haven't downloaded it yet but it sounds like the issue on the first leak no?

Still see some of the glitches I saw in the "unofficial" 2.2 that leaked a month ago such as when you go to gallery and click on all photos, "November 2009" still come up

Cant download apps in a timely manner! Each app takes 3-5 minutes to load preview in market and another few minutes to load system reqs page.

I have been trying to grab the update for over an hour. I keep getting the message, "Check for update was not available at this time, try again later". I am on stock 2.1 unrooted. Anyone know why I am getting that message and what I need to do to get this update.

Also the weather widget that comes when you first turn on the phone accuracy on location is still off as it was in the "unofficial 2.2" was

Does anyone have any issues with the wifi toggling in/ out connection. I had the same issue with the 2.2 leak.
