Ordered mine through Samsung so I will for sure get the promo items and $99 bundle. Never had wireless headphones, so I'm looking forward to that.
Does anybody know whether Samsung generally ships using UPS or FedEx?
That article is a mess to read. Sounds like they're mostly talking about the Asian market and then throw in one paragraph about US/Canadian customers. The first line says that preorders open today, April 7th. Wat?

Yep, been there, done that. Once I thought I would be clever and request to pick it up from the local UPS facility rather than wait for delivery to my house. It must have already been sitting in a truck because doing so added another day until it was "ready for pickup". D'oh!

Well they couldn't give the packages to UPS and FedEx for future delivery but as the shipper they could arrange a pickup for a future date. The receiver can arrange for a future delivery.They could give it to FedEx or UPS tomorrow and tell them to deliver on the 21st and everyone should be happy

I wish i could pick it up at a TMo location. They usually get it in the am while my Ups usually gets dropped off late pm...

I agree. Compared to my S5 it felt great. Even with a case on it I don't think it will feel huge.

Just checked the Samsung website and mine is still showing as Pre Ordered. I do see a pending charge on my credit card but that could just be Samsung doing a credit check and ensuring there's enough credit to buy the phone with. I've had pending charges for over 1 week before it actually hit, so not reading too much into that at the moment.

i dont believe so. why would they ship on a sunday? thats kind of odd. they said they heard a CSR say it but can you really believe them? probably not im just saying take it with a grain of salt because if they dont ship on sunday you'll be upset.

You don't have to pre-order through Samsung to get the bundle. You can pre-order through anybody, and provide the receipt of your pre-order (and $99 + tax) to receive the promo.

If they decide to limit those bundles to only 50,000, they could go quick.
That's correct. But the fine print says there might only be 50,000 of those bundles available. Ordering directly from Samsung allows you to purchase a bundle now. Anyone else has to wait til the phones arrive, then get the bundle.

Good point. Me, I could care less about the VR set. I'm interested in the headphones and the 256GB microSD card.

I recall reading that the promo was limited to 350,000 VR headsets and 50,000 headphone/SD card bundles. But now of course I can't find it.
I thought I would try to flip the VR headset but I bet a ton of other people are going to do the same. I figure I'll try it, maybe it'll be cool.

That's certainly a lot of VR's but in comparison to how many S8/+ will be sold, not that bad. Plus, if it's backward compatible (?) that could open up the buyer pool as well.
There will still be a market to flip it. Should be a pretty easy sell around $100 with $189 retail.

I want my phone though!!!! I wasn't thrilled when I got the Note 7 only one day early. I was hoping a week early. I just want my S8 Plus now!!

dude trust me we all do!!!! i pre ordered mine through Big Red (Verizon) and we might be the last to get it. it sucks waiting on it lol. i just dont wanna get my hopes up and then be disappointed. but every single day coming is filled with excitement just waiting to see if your order will change to "shipped"
