I did the pre-order through Best Buy and wonder about this as well. If VZW happens to get phones delivered by the 20th, can we pick it up then??

nope. you wont be able to pick them up until the 21st. Tis why i ordered thru VZ, they have the probability of arriving early.

When I called Samsung the guy told me April 17th, monday they ship out for delivery by the 20th. They use 2 day shipping so any chance I get it on tue instead if it goes out really early Mon morning? I guess Wed I will get it then.

The charge happens once they secure inventory for you and the item is now more like preparing for shipping. I know it's hard but just waiting patiently the info will come and so will your device

On another note, I ordered an orchid Grey S8 for my wife and got the same shipping/delivery date estimate as my S8+ that I ordered a week and a half ago. I thought by now the dates would have changed and been further out as it's been a while since preorders started.

From watching numerous preorders and releases in the past there in my humble opinion no order is given when a preorder is made and when the phone actually ships ....... I know , I know it suuucks ???

Someone preordering today will probably get his or her phone as early as someone who preordered the first half hour the preorders started ?!?!

Go to previous threads for releases for the Note 7, S6 Edges , HTC M7s and M8s which I preordered you'd see folks flipping out at someone getting a tracking number after preordering the day before and those preordering the first day not having any tracking number ......it's insaaaane in the membraaane !!!!

That definitely sucks. This is the first time I've pre-ordered a phone. Only did it because I actually hate going into tmobile stores and waiting for the rep who only ever owned an apple device spend 40 min trying to "assist" me in getting through the promise to set up my new phone. Lol.

Just got a tracking......for something. It's coming from "Brightpoint North America" via fedex. Not really sure if its the phone...or accessory. Ordered directly from Samsung the morning it was available, Samsung tracking shows nothing yet. Arrives Saturday.

Brightpoint is usually where Samsung free gifts ship from. At least with the 2 gifts I got from my note 7.
