The update will not be deleted. Use app backup and restore. Back up everything, remove sd card, reset phone, reinstall card, re download app backup and restore after you get your phone set back up, restore all of your apps thru it.

OK... I was wrong about Samsung Canada.... I think all Telus, Bell and other got the update at the same time.

I got mine through Rogers around 7:30pm. I hate the new grey status bar. The colours seems to be washed out as well.

Hum.... for some reason most of my friends here in Calgary like the new status bar and Google Now. However, I don't like the fact that Google Now can't provide Wind Chill (aka Fells Like) temperature on their weather card. I tried every single setting.

Other than that so far so good. I will do a factory reset on Friday so I can't say much about battery life or performance. (With a factory reset after a OS upgrade, it is not worth measuring
The screen seems to be brighter than usual with the exact same background I had on ICS at low settings. I don't know the impact that will have on the battery life yet.

Wtf.. in this situation... ROOT AND FLASH and never renew your contract. Thats a disgrace.

I know what you're saying, the status bar looks a bit lighter than it used to be (black) before you pull it down.

But its really not a big deal.

I am still testing my battery life on Telus running OS 4.1. Those who got the update in other countries (NOT rooted), did you battery life changed as a result of JB update?

I wana see it.... why would your carrier waste time changing a colour??? Have they added anything nice?
Remember keep Wifi on so google Now knows where it is, virtualy no ambient battery use.
Dont keep GPS on though, thats a pointless battery drain.
Youll get a lil buzz when google Now gives you info u didnt ask for, it is kinda cool

Icouldn't send ascreen shot because I was on my Note 10.1...
here's a screen shot but without a comparison, it's hard to tell what's changed.
you can tell from the status bar and the blacks in the wallpaper that the status bar is grey

Is there anyway to open Google Now cards without pressing the home button and choosing from the pop-up menu? I tried Google Search mic icon and it only open the Google Now voice input.

I don't want to break the physical button.
