I ordered a 32gb on pre order launch day... anyway you know the story...

Over the last two weeks I have begged my wifes best friend to order a S3 and she wanted to but wanted to "see one" in hand first. I finally talked her into pre ordering a 16gb sunday 17th.

SHE GOT IT TODAY! amazing, due to the fact that they took down all pre orders on monday.

So anyway, I am going to her house tonight to set it all up for her.

At least it will tide my cravings until mine gets here with getting to play with hers!!!

Edit: Since Im staring at it there seem to be two contacts accessable behind the battery door just like the palm pre's. Maybe there is inductive charging in my future?

So no one else received theirs today? .. guess you all ordered the 32GB version like myself (Verizon version)

Just got home from work so I'll be setting up the phone for my wife if any of you have any more questions.. I'll try my best to answer them.

Very first impressions for the 20 minutes of playing with the phone... The pentile screen looks great, they did a great job.. you need a magnifying glass to notice any pixels. TouchWizz flys on this phone. Scrolling through homescreens is the smoothest and quickest of any phone I've seen.. and thats speaking highly for TouchWiz which is known to lag. 2GB of RAM.. this phone is SUPER quick. The only other thing that I've tested so far is speaker volume/call volume (this was a problem on the GNex) ... Volume is decent.. nothing that will blow your ears out but definitely louder than the Galaxy Nexus.

Got a call from best buy this morning apologizing that they hadn't received my verizon sgsiii. I guess they really are clueless at the store level...i hadn't planned on expecting it for more weeks, anyway.

I suggest you unplug the charger and let the phone cool off, im disapointed that the GS3 still has that overheating when charging issue. This may have been the cause behind the one that caught on fire the other day.

i jsut put my hand on the back of my phone ,and its not even warm, so i guess its fine for now

im assuming the charging LED will turn green when it finishes charging? (im new to samsung phones)
