My #1 reason is to consume Prime content in mobile form. All the other things that I heard about afterwards like Silk browser are a nice bonus. Also it's nice to give money to a company not named Apple.

Boy, I am torn on whether I should get the Fire or Tab 7". I like the price of the Fire, but 3 things bugs me:

- No GPS
- No SD Card (I need space to put my movie when I am on a plane)
- No sideloading apps, unless CM7 comes out and that can be a while - I do NOT want to re-buy all the apps I already own

I already ordered one. I figure I have 6 weeks to read about it and really make my decision, but this way I'm in line early if I decide to go through with it. It will be interesting to see what comes out. For instance - will Netflix work on the Fire?

I was on the fence about ordering a Galaxy Tab 10.1, but the Fire and a new Kindle Touch would be less money combined and still give me the EInk device that I really prefer for reading. The only problem is that I would need to carry 2 devices on vacations etc (especially when I might be reading outdoors), but that would have been the case with any other Tablet as well.

well another good news if you purchase from Amazon, their policy indicates, for products purchased within Nov 1 - Dec 31, you have until January 31st to return it, so I preordered mine and test it out, and see if after the prime is release I will keep it or return it. The prime on Paper looks good, I would like to see a video review (hands on).
