Official MR2 Radio-GB ONLY

I'm leaning towards reloading GB on my phone. The bricking that was reported spooked me, but with the MR2 radio leak, I may give it another shot.

so how are you set up? performance wise? im running that new 3.0lean kernel by imoseyon...so far dont see much of an imprvoement in speed. Even running WIFI. Too early to tell on battery life. Any tips on how to improve performance. I havent really gotten into overclocking and undervolting etc...I dont want to get too deep and screw it up. I was really happy running bamf 1.6.3 on froyo, snappy and battery life was outstanding. I guess its just so early in the dev of GB to have it all, but damnit i want it all!! lol

just flashed that same kernel last night after horrible charge time, so i can't comment on battery life just yet.

but i did change the default kernel CPU max from 245 to 1.408GHz to combat the camera lag (also b/c i'm worried a constant 245max is too little for the processes handled by this phone)
but also have several different SETCPU profiles for Screen Off, temperature, time, charging & battery level.

phone seems a little more 'lag'ish, but that could be due to conflicting SETCPU profiles w/ the initial Kernel settings of 245.
i'll probably wipe everything & reflash the kernel again just to be safe--to make sure no remnants are hanging around that could be causing lag.
update: moved default max to 1024 and disabled all SetCPU profiles, phone is now very fast. no lag. also, i now do NOT experience any lag in the camera app. that's a giant plus for me.

battery 100%@8am
battery 66%@11:55am
battery 43%@1.10pm
so i'm pushing roughly about 8-12% loss an hour---seems about average for what i've experienced on other ROM's/Kernels so far

Do it, you won't be disappointed, there of course is the small chance you brick, but the expirence is AWESOME!!!! I have been running the Sense 3.0 Preview for a few days now, and it is AMAZING!!!

I'm running BAMF GingerREMIX v2.0. Last night I installed the newest radio. No problem until I started making phone calls this morning. As soon as I hit call, the phone app FC'd but let the call go thru. I couldn't do anything. I rebooted a few times with the same results. I then answered a call and there was no FC. I thought everything was back to normal until I made another call - FC -

Since I really needed to use my phone, I went back to the original radio. Still on the latest kernel with no issues. Imoseyon's lean kernel v3.0.1test1

I'm having those exact issues plus no notification or status bar. :(

i had the issue of no notification bar:

solution=
reboot into recovery
performed factory wipe/data + cache wipe + dalvik wipe = ALL 4 TIMES (took me 10 minutes)
flashed the rom

notification bar appeared :)

4 times is a little extreme, i know. but i wanted to make sure i got everything possible.

at least factory wipe once, then wipe cache/dalvik each 3 times & you'll be ok.

also, don't know if you're experiencing camera lag---
but after flashing imo 3.1gb test kernel, and changing CPU settings in DBTool Kit (to 1024 max), i now experience no lag in the camera app. just fyi.

Well, looks like I jacked up my Bolt even worst. Now, it's stuck on "Thunderbolt" boot animation. :(

How could you not? Full Sense 3.0 and GB is a match made in heaven. Not to mention the great features that come with a BAMF ROM. Can't wait!

Going to flash the leaked radio and the latest DB Gingerbread preview. See you on the other side. :-!

this is all tempting me to go for GB. I"m running bamf 1.6.3 because it's running so smoooooove. Argh stupid temptations

did you remove any PG015IMG.ZIP from the root of your sd card before you rebooted?
if it's still there: remove sd card, place into sd reader on computer, move the file to a folder. insert card back into phone & boot up.

also: when flashing a Rom for the first time (yes, even if you were running it & then you wipe everything multiple times it's still like the first time) it can take as long as 10-20 minutes for it to load completely--during which time you'll see the boot animation.
it took me 15 minutes to get past the CyanogenMod7 screen for my brother's Incredible & nearly 7 minutes to get past a DasBamf animation

So anyone notice a decrease in battery life? Since I've switched radios in less then an hour I lose about 10% being idle, as to where in the old radio idle I can go 8 hours of sleep and go from 100% to 93%. Wondering if anyone else is having battery issues.
