Official OTA updates without SIM... Possible?

Hey all,

I know this has been hit or miss with Samsung in the past, but will the AT&T S7 allow you to update OTA without having a SIM card inserted?

Since AT&T's OTA updates are issued by AT&T and not Samsung, you need to be registered and connected to the AT&T network to receive the update. Therefore, if you switch to another carrier in future, you will no longer receive the AT&T updates.

Not sure about att but in the past on Verizon, you could use their Verizon update utility to update.

You can also take it to best buy or a Samsung service center in the usa to update
