Official Pixel 8/8 Pro Pre-order Thread.

I pre-ordered the P8 Pro, so I'm getting the Pixel Watch 2. Don't really want it... but I do want a pair of the Bose QC Ultra. What do y'all think the chances are that I get to trade/exchange? I mean, from a business standpoint, the buds are $50 cheaper, so they're technically making money, but positive that's not how it works =/

Definitely not how it works on free items. The value you to them is very minimal.

Anyone know if there is a way to see if an order through Best Buy is still on track for release day or if there's been any update? Preordered mine with BB on the 5th and it stated so, but all the order details page has said since is "We'll let you know when it's ready."

My BB order says Get it by Release Date: Thu, October 12.
Pretty sure the watch is behind schedule

Hmmm... Looking at the product page, it shows I could still order the base 128GB and get it on release date (though new orders for the 256, which I went with, are slightly deferred) so I'll cross my fingers.

That, plus the fact that the "Ship It Instead" button is greyed out for the phone (though not for the watch) has me thinking that at least the phone should be ready.

Hi. Question about BB pre-orders. I want to trade in my P7a, but when I select it, it doesn't show my phone color as an option. Only the black one. Would I still be able to trade it in, or are they really strict about the color?

But I don't think it'll be coming by ups. I think we were tricked and it's going to come fedex like all of my other pixel phones. But who the hell knows!!
Anyway, I did stop at BB today to touch an actual 8 pro.
It's very nice, so I'm excited!

Often companies will ship devices early enough to ensure they arrive on the release date, but with a special instruction to the carrier to not deliver beforehand. That's not to say the carriers always pay attention, but worth noting.

I know the anxiety. My case order which originally said arriving on the 11th changed yesterday to say arriving on the 13th. Then showed up today. Maybe it's just me, but I'm sure I'd find a way to screw up my phone in even a 24 hour period before it could be fully protected.
