I guess people are confuse about the trade in value of their phone.
You are NOT getting $200 for ANY smart phone you trade in.
Let say they appraise your phone samsung s3 at $80, samsung will double that = $160. If my crappy old smart phone worth $20, i'll get $40; if your note 2/3 worth $190 you'll get $200....from Samsung.

You are wrong. If you go to the samsung promo page linked earlier in this thread it doe not mention double trade in. It clearly states get a guaranteed 200 trade in value for any working smart phone. After you submit all paperwork etc they will mail you a check for the difference between $200 and what you received for the smart phone trade in. It mentions minimum of $10 so it could be seen as they will send you a check for a minimum of $10 or your trade in has to be a minimum of $10 I am not sure as it is a little misleading. We will need samsung to clarify this some more.

Example: If your phone has a TIV of $25, Samsung will send you a check for $175
If your phone has a TIV of $100, Samsung will send you a check for $100

The phone MUST have a TIV of at least $10 to be eligible
You CANNOT submit multiple phones as trades to get to the $10 min TIV

TIV = trade in value

Question about pre-order. Never did one for a phone before but want to for the Note 4 on Friday

When you pre-order, let's say at AT&T store, and off contract, do you have to pay for the entire cost of the phone right then? Or do you pay for it when the phone actually is delivered?

I'm fairly certain you have to pay the whole cost up front.

That stinks. Because my job allows us to get a new phone each year and my renews October 11, but the receipt has to be dated on October 11 or later for them to pay for it

I'm going to wait till T-Mobile has their pre-order ready next week because with the $227.00 they will give me for my note 3 and the $.200.00 Samsung will give me for the trade in I will be good to go

If Tmobile gives you $227 to trade in your Note 3, you will not get anything more from Samsung. The limit is $200 combined.

After two years with the Note 2 and Note 3, I have only seen other people use them maybe 5 times. Yes, only 5 times in 2 years. By comparison, I see at least 20 people with iPhones(4 or 5?) every single day.

A verizon chat session told me "You will have to wait till 3 AM EST to order. It will be $299.99 for the 2 year, the edge price is $34.99 monthly for 20 months and the full retail price is $699.99
