Official Yahoo Messenger App

The iPhone version was better than AIM IMO,
so I wouldn't be surprised if that were the
same with Android.

Thanks for the heads up!

They also have a mail app, with push notifications for those of you still using Yahoo mail (my wife is one).

Not sure if anyone has figured this out, but on the mail app, how do you turn off vibrate and sound notifications?

Anyone else dislike the fact that it doesn't handle aliases (linked accounts)?

Does anyone know of a yahoo client that handles aliases like the desktop app? I have tried most of the big ones (meebo, ebuddy, palringo, nimbuzz, fring, yahoo droid, etc) and they all do not handle aliases.

Thoughts?

Yes, I am biased. But really, the yahoo mail application has a nice UI and a good search feature, other than that...really poor quality.

Looks nice, but is lacking some key features that are pretty much standard for us Android users.

No status bar icon to let us know it's running n the background, and very un-customizable as far as notification sounds, vibrate, LED and color of the LED.
