ello everyone,

it is very unfortunate that the smartphone-repairman had to explain to me, that the USB-port on my smartphone is not fully repairable, due to damage of the PCB. However, I am happy that he was able to get it to allow for charging, which is the most critical function for me.

Now, I'm having trouble with all the data on my smartphone, I need to backup. Since a USB-cable connection to my PC, which is my prefered method, is not an option anymore. Much to my dismay, I have to find another solution. Because I have to move many gigabytes it is important to me, to figure out the next best solution.

Sadly, I am not very well versed, when it comes to tech related matters. That's why I am in the situation where I'm asking you for advice.

I understand that it is indeed possible to upload my data online, in order to download it from other devices, but I am concered about my privacy uplaoding all my smartphone data online. For this reason I must find a solution that works offline strictly.

I have thought about useing bluetooth, but I have no experience doing so, and am asking myself if that is a reliable connection? Is there software like a bluetooth download type of manager? I wonder how practical it is to transfer many gigabyte via bluetooth.

Besides that, I'm pretty much clueless and hope for any recommandations.

Thanks in advance! ☺️

Wireless data transfer will always be limited by speed. USB or high-speed cloud storage upload will be the quickest, but since your port is faulty and you're hesitant to use cloud storage, then your options are limited, possibly nil, I'm afraid.
I agree but if OP has a Samsung then smart switch wireless can back up most data but still would use cloud service it's to me the best solution.

Thanks for all the answers.

I have a xiaomi android device. Okay, I understand now that cloud is my best option.

I want to give the best offline option a try before going for the cloud option. As for offline solutions bluetooth is my best bet?

I hope it works out for you! Be aware that the free version is probably limited in terms of how much data you can transfer in a given period of time. But if it works well for you, hopefully it will be worth the cost of the paid version.
